The brief

Ventura Risk Partners is an independent wholesale energy insurance broker, launching without a brand or a website. The founder wanted to look established from day one: serious enough for underwriters and clients who move in six and seven figure placements, without the corporate stiffness that usually comes with it.

No network affiliations, no borrowed credibility. The identity and the site both had to earn trust on their own terms.

The work

Brand first: logo, a navy and coral palette, Satoshi as the type system, and a written voice guide so the tone stays consistent whether it is a proposal, a LinkedIn post, or an email footer. Then the site: a Nuxt 4 frontend over a Payload CMS backend, deployed on Railway with the CMS on its own persistent volume, covering home, about, services, sectors and contact.

Payload puts the content in Ventura's hands after launch, not mine. The site went live in February 2026 and has kept shipping since: new pages, copy passes, and a complaints workflow added as the business grew.
